Michael Kron
Chairman
As the Chief Operating Officer of a family-owned business with a portfolio of over 13,000 multi-family units in Arizona and Texas, Kron brings a wealth of real estate expertise to the Guardian Team. With experience spanning more than $3 billion in property transactions, Michael has spearheaded the land acquisition and construction of more than 3,000 apartment units, while simultaneously overseeing the day-to-day operations of the portfolio including the acquisition and financing of new properties, and disposition of projects to restructure the portfolio to maximize market trends and valuations.
Kron, a California licensed attorney and real estate broker, honed his knowledge of real estate and land use while working for six years with the law firm of Alschuler, Grossman & Pines in Century City, CA. Kron holds a B.B.A. in Finance and a J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Steven Miller
Managing Director
With nearly 40 years of experience in commercial real estate leasing and portfolio management, Steven Miller brings a broad-based level of commercial leasing expertise to Guardian.
Mr. Miller has worked in Landlord representation for JMB Properties and The RREEF Funds, managed corporate real estate leasing portfolios for Merrill Lynch and First American Title, and managed a key brokerage client portfolio for Jones Lang Lasalle. His extensive experience encompasses Landlord representation, Tenant representation, brokerage account management, corporate real estate portfolio management on a national and international level, and includes the financial, medical and government sectors.
Mr. Miller holds a B.S in Business Administration/Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, OH.

Drew Hoeven
ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
Drew Hoeven has over 16 years of real estate experience focused on self-storage and multi-family that has included acquisitions, development, construction and operations. He currently is Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Westport Properties, Inc. and US Storage Centers, Inc. Drew graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Policy, Planning & Development.
Drew is a member of NAIOP, participates in an NAIOP Forum, SSA, outgoing Chairman of the CSSA board and sits on the board of the YPO Orange County chapter. Drew is also a board member of Kure It, a non-profit that raises money for innovative cancer research for underfunded cancers.
Drew is a licensed real estate broker in CA. He lives in Newport Beach, CA with his wife, Jaime, and their three children.

Martin Hannigan
ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
Martin Hannigan is a seasoned retail Real Estate Developer and Investor with over 30 years of extensive experience in retail shopping centers both in Northern and Southern California. Mr. Hannigan is currently General Partner at Sanderson J. Ray Development. His most notable projects include the purchase, development, entitlement, sale, lease, and financing of sites ranging from 5 to 15 acres located throughout California. These properties include Tustin Ranch Plaza in Tustin, Spectrum Crossroads in Irvine, and Rancho Santa Margarita Town Center in Rancho Santa Margarita. These shopping centers are occupied by tenants including McDonald’s, Burger King, Ralph’s Supermarket, Shell Oil, Chevron Oil, Del Taco, Best Buy Electronics, Ross Dress for Less, In-N-Out Burgers, and Five Below.
Mr. Hannigan is based in San Clemente, CA.

Reed Hummel
ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
Reed Hummel has over 35 years of Commercial Real Estate Lending experience – all with Wells Fargo Bank. During his tenure, he has financed all major property types and has held senior roles in originating loans held on the bank’s balance sheet, CMBS loan originations, syndications (including senior loans, subordinated debt and mezzanine loans), and, lastly, a loan approval function. Reed has deep knowledge of the capital markets with an emphasis on loan structuring. He has served as a NAIOP board member for the Orange County chapter, and ICSC member. He holds an M.B.A from the University of Southern California. Reed lives in Corona del Mar, CA with his wife Rhonda.

Steve Jasa
ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
Steve Jasa is the Chief Financial Officer of a private national multifamily investment company. With more than 25 years of real estate finance and investment management experience, Steve is responsible for the Company’s five active multifamily real estate funds encompassing over $4 billion of discretionary capital. Specifically, Steve is responsible for fund formation and structuring, fund-related accounting, compliance, portfolio analytics, capital markets and investor relations. Previously, Steve was Vice President of Investment Management of Western National Properties for over 10 years and a Senior Manager in the Real Estate Capital Markets Group of Ernst & Young LLP’s Real Estate Advisory Services. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of The Lyon Group, a multifamily consulting company which specialized in formulating turn-around strategies for foreclosed multifamily properties throughout the Western United States. He holds a BA degree from UCLA and an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Michael L. Meyer
ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
Michael L. Meyer is Chairman at TwinRock Partners and has been active in the Southern California and national real estate industry for more than 40 years.
Mr. Meyer retired as managing partner of the E & Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group of Ernst & Young LLP Orange County Office in September 1998. Having started with Kenneth Leventhal & Company in Los Angeles in 1963, He was a key partner in growing the firm to become the largest group of real estate accounting and consulting professionals in the nation.
Mr. Meyer and partners have invested in commercial buildings, multi-family projects, single-family rental homes, residential tract and condominium developments, mortgages, public storage properties and land developments. He also was a member of two entities that acquired Japanese non-performing real estate bank loans and a commercial building in Japan.
Mr. Meyer served on the Board of City National Bank, William Lyon Homes, Legacy Partners Apartment REIT, two KBS Strategic Opportunity REITS and Opus Bank.
For outstanding achievements in the real estate industry and community, Mr. Meyer was inducted into the California Building Industry Foundation Hall of Fame in June 1999. He was named the 1999 Chapman University Distinguished Research Awardee, and he was the 1998 recipient of the University of California, Irvine Graduate School of Management Real Estate Program Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Meyer has been honored by the United Way (Alexis de Tocqueville Society Award) and City of Hope (Spirit of Life Award). He and his wife Nancy received the Humanitarian Award by the British American Business Council in 2005 and they are members of the United Way Tocqueville National Society. They live in Laguna Beach and have four children and four grandchildren.
